Benefits: Pension, Staff Family Passes, 20% Staff discount in Park

Working hours: Full time (5 days in 7)

Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park was opened to the public in 1970 and was, at the time, one of Britain’s first safari parks. With over 400,000 visitors a year, we are now one of the most popular visitor attractions in Scotland and offer a world-class visitor experience that is exciting, educational and fun.

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated, reliable and confident team member to join our new Presentation Team working predominately with our sea lions but also our birds of prey.   This position is offered on a full time, permanent basis.

You will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment for both yourself and the visitors by adhering to associated risk assessments and protocols without exception.

Working as part of the Presentation Team, you will deliver high quality educational and entertaining displays of natural behaviours to large groups of the public in our daily presentations. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with, train and display our Californian sea lions and our collection of birds of prey.

The successful applicant will need to be highly motivated, flexible and hard-working.  You must have a good understanding of animal behaviour and previous experience training and working with a variety of species. The ability to take part in public presentations is essential as well as exceptional animal husbandry skills, high standards of animal care and excellent communication skills.

A full, clean UK driving licence is essential. The zoo animal management qualification (DMZAA) is desirable but not essential for this position.
