Perfect for those just starting in the zoo industry; Peak Wildlife Park is looking for highly motivated applicants who are willing to learn on the job and have either been awarded or are working towards a professional zoological qualification.

The successful applicant will be part of a small team, working with a range of exotic species whilst helping to deliver the highest levels of animal husbandry. The role of Animal Keeper is a varied one, and the successful candidate will get the chance to work with several species, from hoof-stock to small mammals and birds. Your roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: All elements of animal husbandry, enclosure maintenance, animal training, and delivering talks and VIP experiences.

The ideal applicant should have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• An ability to work to your initiative

• At least one years paid experience working within a zoological collection

• Working towards the DMZAA or equivalent qualification

• A full UK driving license (Desirable)

This is a seasonal, entry-level position, with full training being given to the successful candidate. The position is available for an immediate start, with successful applicants required to perform a trial day as part of the interview process.
