About The
Role
As part of
the Marine Mammal management team, you will lead in ensuring that the team
provides a healthy and sanitary living conditions, proper nutrition, conditions
and maintains animal behavior through enrichment training. You will be
responsible for overseeing safe animal and guests’ interactions through
advanced application of conditioning and criteria recognition. You will manage
the marine mammal specialists and fulfills various leadership roles as
delegated.
About You
Our ideal
candidate will have a Rescue Certification together with an Intermediate
application of animal training and animal husbandry principles (curatorial
skills) on a daily basis with direct emphasis on employee, guest and animal
safety. You will have skills associated with short term planning necessary for
achieving daily and weekly animal training goals. This includes involvement in
training behaviors from beginning to completion with detailed record of
progress. You will be responsible for consistent application of Guest Service
skills associated with dolphin interaction programs. This includes basic
problem solving without compromising quality and safety.
A minimum of
three years’ experience in behavioral modification, care, or related animal
field and have completed cross-training in Dolphin Bay. You will have to pass
Swim Test and is proficient in application and development of animal training
and animal husbandry principles.
