Manor Wildlife Park
is searching for an ambitious, motivated individual who is passionate about
their quality of work and would like the chance to develop their skills within
our positive, family spirited team. This opening is aimed at those who would like
to work alongside a wide range of species whilst, at the same time, having the
opportunity to specialise in the areas or species of your choice.
Your roles and
responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, all elements of animal
husbandry, positive reinforcement training, environmental enrichment, animal
behaviour research, elements of enclosure design and the provision of keeper
talks and VIP experiences.
The ideal applicant should have;
• Strong communication skills
• An ability to use initiative
• The DMZAA or an equivalent qualification in
related area
• At least 2 years of experience within the
animal sector
• A full UK driving license (Desirable)
• Experience working with large carnivores
and/or large hoof stock (Advantageous)
Manor wildlife Park
is set in 52 acres of natural parkland and is based in Pembrokeshire, Wales. On
the doorstep is The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park which was voted by
National Geographic Traveller Magazine in the US as one of the top two coastal
destinations in the world. Just 8 minutes away from the harbour town of Tenby,
and a 30 minute drive away from both Haverfordwest and Carmarthen.
The starting date is
flexible however, you would ideally be available at the start of November. If
you are shortlisted after the interviews you may be asked to perform a trial
day.
