Location: WWT's London Wetland Centre
Hours of
work: 37.5
hours per week working 5 days out of 7 including weekends, public holidays and
some evenings on a rota basis
Salary: £19,245 per annum
WWT London
Wetland Centre is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Living
Collections Team. You will have a keen interest in birds and animals with
hands-on experience of their care, and will play a key part in engaging
visitors in our collection species, and WWT’s wider conservation work, through
the delivery of walks and talks.
This is a
broad and varied position, and the delivery and maintenance of a high standard
of presentation and hygiene throughout all the Grounds areas, in addition to
the animal collection, are an essential part of the role. Duties will include
the daily feeding, husbandry and welfare of the living collection, including
enclosure maintenance.
Ideally you
already hold, or are working towards, a recognised qualification in animal
management and some experience of mustelids, especially otters, would be an
advantage.
