Chief Executive Officer
Twycross Zoo - East Midland Zoological Society Limited, is the World Primate Centre, holding a comprehensive collection of primate species, besides other mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians. Conservation, Education and Research are its core principles, actively promoted through the provision of best in class visitor services. Arising from recent restructuring, a Chief Executive Officer is to be appointed.
Reporting to and advising the Board of Trustees, you will provide strong leadership and effective management of this £10m charitable trust, to achieve the organisation’s mission. As a focal point for stakeholders, they will find your sound judgement and strategic objectivity complementary to your commercial awareness and sound financial acumen.
A scientific bias would be desirable and you will display a natural empathy for animal welfare and conservation.
By now, though, you will have senior managerial experience at executive level, which may be also drawn from seemingly unrelated businesses such as leisure, hospitality, events management, catering and retail.
