Gauntlet Bird of Prey - Eagle and Vulture Park

Gauntlet Birds of Prey is looking for an experienced display falconer to present multi species flying presentations, experiences, and educational outreach projects for the 2019 season.

Gauntlet is based in Knutsford, Cheshire, and is entering it’s 23rd year this year. Gauntlet prides itself on its jaw dropping multi species flying demonstrations where up to 30 birds take to the sky together. Opportunity has arisen for an experienced display falconer to join Gauntlet on a full time basis.

The role will include running daily presentations flying a large variety of birds of prey including eagles, owls, hawks, falcons, storks, pelicans, and other unusual species! This will be based at both our main site in Knutsford and also at our base at Knowsley Safari Park. The successful candidate will also be required to present and run several of Gauntlets experience days which are run throughout the year. The role would suite a person with zoo display/presentation background, experience really is essential but full training will also be given. It is a full-time role working 5 days a week including weekends. Must be able to drive and have use of a vehicle. This position would really suite someone based around the North West of the UK.
