Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is an award winning visitor attraction set amidst a beautiful 28 acre natural valley situated in North Devon. We are home to over 70 species with around 800 individual animals.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our sea lion department. The successful candidate will join the team responsible for the care of our California sea lions and our African penguins.

CMWDP sea lion section has daily sea lion displays and also offers interactive guests experiences; sea lion meet and greets and a swim with the sea lion experience, unique in the UK.

Candidates should have an animal related qualification. Experience with sea lions and operant conditioning is essential and at least two years of working in a zoo environment is desirable. The successful applicant will be hard working, a good team player who is also confident working under their own initiative. They will also have excellent public speaking skills and be confident delivering educational talks to visitors. Good communication skills and an excellent customer service ethic are vital.

Being situated in a valley, applicants should be physically fit. A full clean UK driving licence is advantageous due to our location.

This position is 40 hours/week during the summer season, including weekends and bank holidays. Winter hours may vary. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business.
