Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college with campuses across the North of England.

 

We currently have an amazing opportunity for an experienced commercially focussed manager with a passion for animal welfare to lead our dedicated team of Keepers whilst ensuring strict licencing and curriculum requirements are met.

 

Our own Wildlife Park is at the heart of the Animal Management Department and serves the York, Wakefield and Foundation FE learners as well as being an important resource for our University Centre. The Wildlife Park Manager will lead the Commercial and Licenced aspects of the Wildlife and Conservation Park. The successful candidate will work closely with the curriculum teams to develop the curriculum resource, offer students a true industry experience, and enable them to develop their skills in preparation for further study and employment.

 

Reporting to the Curriculum Director of Animal Management and Equine, you will lead on the commercial, research and other key licencing requirements to ensure a vibrant and developing commercial and modern establishment that demonstrates the College’s Vision, Values and Strategy. This role is the key link between the various stakeholders involved in running a licenced establishment including Curriculum teams, BIAZA, Local Council, other collections and other local and national attractions and services.
