Bornholm's bird of prey show is looking for a pet keeper, who will be part of our team who takes care of the interests of the animals and the place daily.
We are a total of 6 permanent staff and 3-4 loose workers.
The bird show's animal husbandry consists of birds of prey and owls, chickens and parrots as well as laughbirds. In addition, a terrarium department with 4 species of snakes, bird spiders, iguana, trace turtles, toads, and walking sticks and giant snails. The mammal department consists of goats, sheep, rabbits and ponies.
About the place
Bornholm's bird of prey show is a privately owned company that now has 14 years on its back. Our focus is to teach our guests about the different animals and encourage guests to take better care of them in their natural habitats through knowledge. We believe that knowledge and communication and relations with the animals will open the visitors eyes even more to these amazing creatures.
Our concept is: A whole day's journey through evolution, where the guest experiences 400 years of evolution told through the animals and all their developed super powers.
We do 5 showcases daily where all our animal groups are represented - including one daily bird show.
Workout
At Bornholm's bird of prey show, training of individual animals takes up a lot in everyday life. We aim to train through positive reinforcement and always on the animal s' terms. You will get in touch with all our different animals here. Everything from spiders to eagles and goats.
In daily there are shows, and part of the work contains communication for the audience.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an outgoing, dedicate and committed person who can work on their own as well as groups. We expect you to be creative and working and have a high standard in terms of animal welfare. You are customer minded and smiling.
We expect you to work in a changing working environment that is developing rapidly.
We would like you to have language skills in Danish, English and German, but a lot can also be learned along the way.
You must have completed the basic courses 1 and 2.
Driving license for the car is a requirement!

You will have plenty of opportunity to develop your knowledge in the field of animal dissemination and training. You will become part of an amazing and enriching team, who like you, loves their wish job on the wish island of Bornholm 😊
Facts about the position
Working on average 37 hours a week and weekend shifts are expected.
In relation to pay, we follow the conditions set out in the Agriculture agreement between 3 F and GLS-A.
