Senior Zoo Keeper - The Palms Tropical Oasis

Innovative, motivated and confident individual required
to join the Zoo Team at The Palms Tropical Oasis.

The position is challenging, demanding and supervisory,
but respect for existing experienced staff members will be
expected in order to maintain our enviable team spirit!
The collection is very varied, with good development potential,
so multi-tasking is key. Candidates require excellent
communication skills, both within the team and in order
to further develop Meet The Keeper sessions and public talks.

Requirements.
Knowledge, a passion for wildlife, and the skills to enthuse and
inspire visitors, including school and special interest groups.
At least 2 years relevant experience in captive husbandry and
exhibit design and ability to work well alone and in a team.
Availability for flexible schedule to include weekends and Bank holidays.
Full driving licence (site is not easily accessible by public transport)
Good physical fitness. Experience with problem solving and fast decision making.

Advantages
Completion of the ANCZAM Zoo Animal Management Course
Experience of public speaking, presentation skills & customer service.
Good DIY Skills to assist with maintenance.

Wage negotiable depending on experience.
