POSITION VACANT: HEAD KEEPER/ANIMAL MANAGER


Rare Species Conservation Centre.


We are looking to recruit a hands on Head Keeper/Animal Manager to oversee all aspects of the day to day running of the centre. The role includes staff management, animal management and also animal keeping. You will be working with a myriad of unusual species from reptiles to larger carnivores and Tapir,
running a small and dedicated team in a very personal environment.


Salary Circa £20K plus (Depending on experience) plus performance bonus.


The position would suit a fit, practical all rounder, who has
previous experience working with a comprehensive range of exotic
species. This position would also suit an individual who is capable of taking
on their first management type role, and would enjoy running a small zoological establishment.
Very high standards of hygiene and personal organization are
essential. As are personal appearance and communication skills, as
you are often communicating directly to visitors. Must enjoy
working in a small team and on your own initiative. An Interest in
horticulture a plus and ability to operate ARKS essential.

Accommodation is not included with this position.
