Presenter - Chester Zoo
Temporary (6 Month Contract)
Chester Zoo, one of Europe’s leading Zoological collections with an active and award winning Education Division, is now seeking a Presenter on a 6-month contract to cover for maternity leave commencing the beginning of January 2010.
Our Presenter team is a vital part of enhancing the visitors’ experience and work includes developing and delivering public talks, interpretation and exhibition supervision around the Zoo.
Audiences vary from 2 to 500 or more, and there is lots of public interaction requiring a confident and outgoing personality.
Applicants should have a Zoo Biology/Conservation-related degree, a good knowledge of the Zoo’s animal collection and conservation work and a proven ability to communicate with a wide audience. Ideally you will have experience of working in Education in a zoo setting.
Work is 5 days in 7, including bank holidays, every other weekend and occasional evenings. Rate of pay is £8.07 per hour.
