Rare Species Conservation Centre - CENTRE MANAGER/TEAM LEADER

POSITION VACANT: CENTRE MANAGER/TEAM LEADER



Rare Species Conservation Centre.

We are looking to recruit a hands on facility manager to oversee all aspects of the day to day running of the centre. The role includes all aspects of staff management, animal management and also hands on animal keeping.You would be working with and managing a small team of 2 keeping staff, 2 front of house staff, and various volunteers and you would be reporting directly to the trustees. The centre is a small facility and is a very personal environment.

The position would suit a fit, practical all rounder, with excellent organisational skills who has previous experience working with a comprehensive range of exotic species, ideally an interest in both small and large mammals, in particular small carnivores. Very high personal standards of hygiene and organisation are essential in this role, as is a comprehensive understanding and ability to fully use ARKS.

Previous management role preferred but not essential, this may have been in a non zoo environment? Personal appearance and communication skills are also important as you are often directly communicating to visitors, issuing press releases and dealing with any visitor issues that may arise.

Accommodation is not included with this position.

Salary Circa £20K plus (depending on experience) plus performance bonus
