This role, funded by
the National Lottery Heritage Fund, is designed to connect the local community
to our natural heritage as part of a wider conservation project aiming to see
Red Squirrels (Sciurus vulgaris) return to the Knowsley Estate and the surrounding
areas. The post holder will raise awareness to the importance of red squirrel
conservation and coordinate the volunteer programme, giving the community an
opportunity to reconnect with their natural heritage.
