West Midland Safari Park currently has a permanent vacancy available for an Animal Keeper on the Ungulates Africa Section. This is an exciting opportunity, where we are looking for applicants who can demonstrate the ability and knowledge to work with our extensive range of ungulate species managed in a drive through system. The position involves husbandry tasks, such as feeding, cleaning, health monitoring and enclosure maintenance delivered to a high standard. It includes monitoring of our guests in the drive through and delivering keeper talks.

The role requires someone who is confident, motivated and enthusiastic about wildlife conservation and has excellent communication skills. The successful applicant will require good wildlife knowledge and have an animal related qualification to HND level or above. We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role. It is a physically demanding but very rewarding role.

Due to driving company vehicles, we are looking for applicants who have full, valid driver’s licenses. Weekend, bank holiday working and flexibility in working hours is essential to this role. Some evening work will be required during special events throughout the year.
