Kingdom by The Land of Legends Theme Park is looking for a Marine Mammal
Trainer with minimum 6 years paid experience working with Marine Mammals.
Duties require the use of good judgment and problem-solving
skills. Trainers must be highly organized, self-motivated, and dependable. They
must be able to follow established procedures, work under deadlines, and
effectively deal with frustrating situations. Employees are required to
maintain a positive attitude, cooperative and productive work relationships,
and relate to guests and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner at
all times.
All trainers must care and use properly all
the company equipment.
The trainer position requires effective oral and written english
communication skills, trainers must have the ability to follow instructions
and directives, and accept constructive criticism in a professional manner
(feedback) and to follow up the feedback given to them.
All trainers are required to pass the
swim test that has being develop by the company.
Duties are frequently performed under physically
demanding conditions and potentially hazardous environments. you need to be committed to
work with animals and have a natural affinity for marine mammals.
All trainers must have flexibility, too; the job may
include working a variety of schedules and shifts. Possessing an upbeat,
positive attitude is important, as is comfort with public speaking. Trainers
also need to be able to lift at least 30 kilos, open and close gates, do fish
breakout, be able to work outdoors and in water in all types of weather. All trainers must be
ready to do sessions in the water with animals when is required.
Have a strong swimming skills, knowledge of husbandry
skills, food preparation and sanitation, knowledge of basic animal training,
operant conditioning and positive reinforcement.
Trainers must follow and complete all tasks properly,
this include fish preparation, record keeping, gating, observations and
enrichment. In addition all trainers must be present during all the sessions
that animals are assigned.
Trainers must be able of maintaining current animal
behavior, including show, interactive, and husbandry behaviors, through the use
of operant conditioning and positive reinforcement.
