SENIOR KEEPER BIRDS and REPTILES
Experienced Senior Keeper Bird/Reptile Section (Ref No: AD/B2/11)
Experienced Senior Keeper, to oversee the day to day running of Bird/Reptile Section within the zoo. The role dictates that a ‘hands on’ approach will be required and an emphasis on coaching of individuals and team building.
As well as being responsible for your section, you will also assist and deputise for the head keeper of your area with some of their work and help in developing and moving forward your section within the framework of the animal department's aims and objectives in a new and exciting period within Blackpool Zoo’s history.
You will need to be hard working, physically fit, enthusiastic and reliable. A minimum of 5 years zoo keeping experience with a minimum of three years experience working with exotic birds in a zoo environment plus proven people management skills and the Advanced Zoo Animal Management course, or equivalent, are essential.
