zoOceanarium Group specializes in developing and operating world class aquariums, zoos and nature-based science centers.  We provide services from concept design to managing daily operations and everything in between.  With employees from all over the globe, zoOceanarium Group consists of animal care specialists, animal trainers, veterinarians, design specialists, project managers and operational staff.

zoOceanarium Group is continuing to expand their team and looking to recruit a talented Aquarist  for an exciting facility in the United Arab Emirates.  You will assist in the underwater maintenance of both fresh and salt water habitats, including vacuuming and scrubbing.  Scuba certification required.

Duties:
•        Undertake daily operations within the Technical Department to ensure highest level of safety, courtesy, efficiency and operational readiness at all times.
•        Undertake daily collection and analysis of water samples and routine aquarium tank maintenance to ensure all systems are maintained within established parameters.
•        Notify proper personnel immediately when test results fall outside of company determined parameters.
•        Monitors proper water testing protocols and techniques, as established by the company.
•        Clean and maintain the entire facility, including animal exhibits.
•        Complete various administrative tasks inclusive of daily water quality records, exhibit maintenance notes and detailed reports.
•        Monitor stocks and order as needed to maintain all supplies.
•        Maintain up-to-date electronic records on animal health, water quality, system maintenance, system checks and stock reports.
•        Assist in emergency situations to minimize damage, loss or injury to guests, team members, animals or company property.
•        Perform daily dive requirements.

Position Requirements:
•        Must have at least 3 years of previous work experience.
•        Must have knowledge of dive equipment and the corresponding maintenance of the equipment.
•        Scuba certification required.
•        Competency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
•        Good verbal and written communications skills required.
•        Strong listening and decision-making skills required.
