£33,797- £38,017 per annum

Grade 7, Starting Salary of £33,797 per annum

Full time, 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE)

We have an exciting opportunity at Writtle University College to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Animal Science Lecturer to join our Department of Animal Science team to support the delivery of high quality, innovative teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.

Our Animal Science and Animal Management courses have seen substantial growth in student numbers on our most recently validated courses, with new and exciting content to deliver. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge in one or more aspects of Animal Science, particularly in zoo and wildlife management.

The candidate should hold a Masters or PhD in Animal Science or a related subject, or be working towards a postgraduate qualification. Additionally, previous relevant academic, industry experience and an understanding of conducting academic research would be advantageous.

The job holder will be part of well established, professional, experienced and supportive team of specialists, already teaching on a variety of programs. We have excellent links with industry and have well-equipped laboratories, a small animal unit and a working livestock farm.
