Mammal Keeper/Trainee Aquarist
Due to expansion we are looking for someone who is passionate about caring for all types of Mammals, Birds, aquatic animals, inverts and reptiles to join our dedicated team. This exciting position will involve carrying out husbandry duties for the creatures in our care, helping to maintain our various life support systems and helping to develop our displays – you may get the opportunity to make a lasting impact on Sealife Adventure by creating entirely new exhibits.
If this all sounds like something you would love to do, then we would love to hear from you. The ideal candidate for this role would be someone with a background in caring for animals within a zoological collection. A qualification in animal husbandry would be an advantage, but opportunities for training and professional development are available for the right candidate.
This job will be hard work! This means that you will need to have a strong work ethic, with a passion and dedication for your job. Someone who can also provide excellent customer service and can deliver public talks would be ideal for the role. A flexible approach to working hours is essential.
