Dartmoor Zoo are looking to employ a Senior Keeper within the Animal Department, who is a highly experienced Zoo Keeper, supportive and a well-organised individual.

 

In this role, as one of the Senior Animal Team, you will support the running of the Animal Department to ensure the welfare and husbandry of the animals, and the well-being and development of the staff and volunteers. You will be directly accountable to the Curator, and will assist in overseeing a team of Keepers, Entry Level Keepers, placement students and volunteers. You will be a good team worker, able to motivate others, as well as show initiative and have a positive outlook. As Senior Keeper you will work regularly on all mammal and bird husbandry rounds and play an integral role in training, enrichment, nutrition and welfare.
