Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is one of the largest indoor aquariums, featuring thousands of aquatic animals and a 270-degree walk-through tunnel. The Aquarium represents several hundred marine species within our impressive 10-million-liter tank. The Underwater Zoo takes visitors through various aquatic environments including the rainforest, touch pools and UAE Night creatures. Also featured is the behind the scenes guided tour.

ABOUT THE FUNCTION

The job holder is responsible for the development of the Annual Curatorial plan which includes the acquisition, maintenance, management and monitoring of all live exhibits. The delivery of this plan must ensure capital and operational expenditure is well planned and maintained within set limits. Manages a team of aquarists, divers and technical staff ensuring that the highest standards of live display and animal care is delivered, and Dubai Aquarium remains a world class facility. Ensure best animal welfare practices are followed and maintained. Administers the encounter and dive program, supervises and trains aquarium staff and contributes to the development of new exhibits and their promotion. Ensure that all aquarium SOP, husbandry manuals and health and safety protocols are up to date and followed by all staff. Create and develop educational, safe, and interesting animal encounter program. Develop and implement sustainable initiatives and project. Management of internal and external Aquarium related projects.
