What is the role?

At BITE we run corporate events with our partner collections across the UK where we build enrichment and redevelop enclosures. We have an amazing team of assistant instructors who help with these events, and you could be one of them.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

- Helping with the setup of Team Builds which could be inside or outside.
- Installing enrichment and/or furniture in enclosures.
- Monitoring participants with regards to H&S.
- Talking to participants about the animals and behaviours.
- Photographing the build.

Who are we looking for?

- A large part of this role is dealing with people, so someone with good public-facing skills is vital. Talking to the participants in a friendly, upbeat, constructive, positive, and professional manner is key to the success of the event.
- Practical skills such as drill and saw use are advantageous.
- The ability to travel is essential.
- You must be self-motivated, punctual, and show common sense.
- Flexibility, the ability to work around your current job or other commitments is very useful.
- Ability to problem solve and make quick decisions.

What will the interview entail?

We will be holding a group interview day at Askham Bryan College in North Yorkshire for the selected participants. The day will run from 9am - around 3pm on Wednesday 17th August. The idea of the day is to see how you work, and how you communicate and engage with others. We will also have a 1-1 with each candidate within that time as well.
