Seasonal keeper – Peak Wildlife Park

Key Responsibilities:

•        Working with a diverse range of animals, covering all areas of animal husbandry.

•        Engaging with members of the public and carrying out one-to-one animal experiences.

•        Delivering talks and presentations.

•        Record Keeping.

•        Routine maintenance and cleaning of animal enclosures.

Key Skills & Requirements:

•        Previous experience working as an animal keeper either in a seasonal or volunteer capacity.

•        Enthusiastic and highly motivated.

•        Good team worker with excellent communication skills.

•        Working towards or achieved a Diploma in the Management of Zoo Animals and Aquaria (DMZAA) or similar qualification.

•        Full UK driving license (desirable).

Working hours will vary depending on time of year, with longer shifts during the summer period.

Following the successful opening of Peak Wildlife Park earlier this year, we are expanding our animal care team to reflect the park's growth. We currently have vacancies for seasonal keepers which have the potential to turn into full-time positions.

We are as committed to the experience of our visitors as we are to the welfare of our animals and the contribution we can make together to protect wildlife both here and across the globe; our mission is to take and inspire action to protect wild life and wild places. We are currently looking for staff that share our passion and commitments.
