SENIOR KEEPER - PRIMATES - Chester Zoo

Chester Zoo is one of the leading zoological collections in Europe with an international reputation for achieving its mission in conservation, research and
education.

We are currently recruiting for a suitably experienced Senior Keeper on our diverse and expanding Primate Team. This is not a post for a trainee.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for management and day to day running of different areas of our large primate section. This will include animal record keeping and helping to ensure that working procedures and risk assessments remain updated. They will be able to organise and prioritise tasks in a dynamic and often physically demanding environment. They will be able to work well on their own and as part of a team and have good reasoning and problem solving skills.

Applicants must have zoo experience of working with Great Apes, New and Old World monkeys and lemurs.

They must also have a full driving licence and be prepared to work weekends and bank holidays in a roster system.
