Experienced Zoo Keeper - Drusillas

We are seeking a confident, outgoing, experienced, full time zoo keeper with a minimum of two years experience working for a zoo or in a similar animal environment.

You must possess a good work history and be determined to make zoo keeping your career. An outgoing personality and the ability to communicate effectively with the general public (including undertaking keeper talks) are essential.

You will be working within a team of 14 zoo keeping staff and will report to one of our four Section Leaders on a day to day basis.

A full driving license and car is important and it is advantageous to hold, or be studying for, the City & Guilds Certificate in Animal Management.

hi I always wanted to work at a zoo and I want to no what stuff you need to learn, do you need to go to college and how many years do you need to go for, can you pick which animals you can work with. Because I need to no so I can become a zookeeper I don’t care how much it is because I wanted this job also I love animals so much.
