looking for a Main Animal Caregiver for the Wisbroek R & D Center.
What are
you going to do?
As Chief
Zookeeper, you are committed to the following:
Motivating and managing a team of
zookeepers
Ensuring that the team is adequately
trained
Monitoring and updating your team's
performance
Discussing your team's personnel
questions with the HR department
Ensuring that daily responsibilities
for animal welfare are fulfilled and that the presentation of the birds and the
stays are in order.
Working closely with the veterinarian
regarding all aspects of animal health care, including assisting the vet
Ensuring that your knowledge and
understanding of the areas of responsibility is up to date. You will use all
available resources and make recommendations for change
Being part of the team and handling
any emergencies
You are responsible for breeding and
raising birds
You are responsible for collecting
data at Wisbroek
You help your team where needed in
the daily activities
Who are
we?
Wisbroek is
a young dynamic organization that specializes in developing bird food for
various species of special birds. Together with private broaders,
nutritionists, veterinarians and leading zoos, we develop our bird food.
In addition
to developing nutrition for birds, we have our own Research & Development
Center with high-quality amenities. Most of these beautiful birds housed here
are extremely rare and threatened with extinction. Wisbroek attempts to make a
positive contribution through farming and research to preserve endangered bird
species for the future.. n
What do we
expect from you?
You have
demonstrably relevant experience with animal management, including working with
birds. In addition, you like to send a team. You don't have 9 to 5 mentality
and are willing to work weekends and holidays as well. You report to the
director and play a key role in leading a team that provides the R & D
Center of Wisbroek. You end up in a team with mainly English-speaking
colleagues. Do you have passion for birds and a proven track record when it
comes to farming / rearing of various bird species? Then we are looking for
you!
