The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) is the largest international wetland conservation charity in the UK. Our mission is to conserve wetlands for wildlife and people. WWT operates nine visitor centres in the UK aimed at conserving biodiversity and bringing people closer to wetland wildlife.

Our wetland conservation programmes include research into wetland ecological processes and site-based work both on and off our reserves in the UK, and overseas. Our international work, which currently takes place at selected locations in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America, aims to benefit both wetland wildlife and local communities.

WWT requires an innovative individual with enthusiasm, drive and a strong background in the design, implementation and management of conservation projects to head the Wetland Conservation Department and be responsible for the delivery of its programmes.

The successful candidate will be a good communicator with a proven track record of managing people and conservation projects from development to delivery. International experience, a science background and a strong publications record are desirable.
