Aquarist - Maternity cover- 6 months – with possible extension
Living Coasts – Torquay’s Coastal Zoo and conservation charity.
We currently have a vacancy for an Aquarist to oversee the Living Coasts Aquarium and contribute to animal care in other departments.
The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant subject. They will have good practical experience of marine systems and will be committed to ensuring the highest possible standards of animal welfare and husbandry. They will have outstanding observation skills, show attention to detail and have a proven track record of delivering high standards of aquarium presentation.
The successful candidate will have an understanding of the role of zoo’s in research and conservation. Computer literate, confident with the public and a good team player.
