£31,095 to £34,844 per annum

Hadlow College is Kent’s premier land-based College and one of the top such Colleges in the United Kingdom; having recently been confirmed as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.


Animal Management courses are offered at 3 of our sites, Hadlow, Mottingham and Canterbury. Each of these sites has its own dedicated Animal Unit with a wide range of species including reptiles, small mammals, camelids and birds. We have seen year on year growth in student numbers which has enabled us to consistently develop practical resources to maximise student learning.


We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our passionate, experienced and highly professional team to lead the continued development of our animal resources across all 3 of our sites.

The role will include the line management of a team of dedicated staff and therefore previous line management experience is essential, as is a relevant animal related qualification and the ability to communicate effectively and credibly with industrial, educational and professional contacts, including staff and students, at all levels.

The successful candidate must have proven experience in the management of zoological collection as Hadlow College is looking to gain a zoo licence to develop the animal management unit to provide an innovative learning and visitor experience.

As well as contributory pension scheme, Corporate gym membership and free car parking, this post also attracts six weeks holiday each year (excluding bank holidays).

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Criminal Records Bureau Check (CRB) and provide proof of their right to work in the UK.
