Animal Care Technician

The College is seeking to appoint an Animal Care Technician, to provide sector leading husbandry for its diverse and exciting animal collection. The successful applicant will also aid in providing the best learning environment for students by demonstrating best practice, setting up lessons and assisting in these as required. Flexibility is needed within this working role to provide an effective service within the college. 

 

The successful Candidate will become part of a team that is committed to providing industry leading standards for its animals and who are continuing to develop practices and promote these throughout the sector. The animal collection has seen exciting growth over recent years, with the introduction of numerous reptile and amphibian species, as well as many others. Demonstrable experience of working with a range of herptile species, to a modern husbandry standard, is preferred, as the successful candidate will have an active input in the direction of the herptile collection.
