BIRD KEEPER VACANCY

Chester Zoo is one of the leading zoological collections in Europe
with an international reputation for achieving its mission in
conservation breeding programmes, research and education. We
currently have a vacancy for a temporary Bird Keeper on a six
month contract, to join a large and busy section.

The post will be largely dealing with waterfowl, Cranes,
Galliformes, softbills, and other species. The position will also be
required to assist with cover keeping on other sections within the
bird teams and working with a wide range of bird species.
Candidates must have experience of working with captive birds, in
a zoological or conservation setting, and particular experience of
hand rearing and working with large Gruiformes. Candidates will
be expected to be qualified to HND/BSc level in a zoological
related science and be computer literate.

This position is being advertised internally and for potential

Hourly rate of pay is £6.67.
