Displays Supervisor -Scottish SEA LIFE & Marine Sanctuary, Oban

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Displays Supervisor at the Scottish SEA
LIFE & Marine Sanctuary, Oban

This is a very challenging role as there is not only the husbandry of the native marine
species, but also specialising in the care of resident seals and the rehabilitation & care of
both common and grey seal pups.

The Person

The successful applicant will have proven supervisory skills, excellent fish husbandry
knowledge, with the confidence to not only pursue, but also maximise PR opportunities,
including TV coverage. You will also be involved in dealing with the public and handling
media enquiries, in order to promote the business effectively.

A relevant Degree, or equivalent, is preferable, along with experience in a similar role. The
ability to be creative, to bring new ideas to the development of displays, as well as project
management skills and a lucid approach to problem solving, are all vital elements of this
position. Supervision of the displays team, as well as ongoing ‘team building’ is seen as a
pre-requisite. The ability to be flexible with working hours and a full driving licence is also
vital.
