Animal Keeper –
Fixed Term- Foot Safari
The Animal
Encounters department is currently recruiting for reliable, confident team
members to join the animal team on seasonal contracts starting in January,
February, March and April through to November 2016.
Working as part of
the successful Animal & Welfare team you will be responsible for
maintaining a safe environment for both you and the visitors by adhering to
associated risk assessments and protocols without exception.
You will be expected
to practice high levels of animal husbandry, training and enrichment; as well
as ensuring the visitor experience is exceptional.
The successful
applicant should demonstrate a passion for animal welfare & conservation,
be highly motivated, flexible and committed to Woburn Safari Park’s high
standards of husbandry and welfare. Due to the wide variety of species on this
large and busy department, candidates must have previous practical experience
of working with a range of animals.
As this is a
customer facing role, the right candidate will have demonstrable presentation
and customer services skills with a passion for education and conservation.
Applicants will need
to be flexible as regular weekend working is required to meet the needs of the
business.
