We are one of the
UK’s leading wildlife rescue charities and exist to relieve the suffering of,
and encourage respect towards British wildlife.
Based in the South-West we provide a public rescue, rehabilitation and release
service for injured, sick and orphaned wildlife. We are also pursuing a
learning and outreach programme and sharing knowledge to raise standards of
wildlife care across the UK.
Following a
fundamental review of the Charity’s activities, new plans are now being
developed to take the Charity forward.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding veterinary nurse
to join our team to work alongside our Head of Animal Care Services and our
skilled animal carer colleagues.
You will be a highly
experienced Veterinary Nurse, and be able to demonstrate a high level of
clinical competence and expertise. You
will be highly motivated, work well alongside other experienced animal care
colleagues, whilst taking the responsibility for being the sole veterinary
nurse on site. You will work under the
direction and supervision of our nominated local veterinary practice.
It is desirable you
will have an interest and/or experience in the care and welfare of British
wildlife, though not essential. More
importantly will be your ability to adapt to a different and often challenging
environment, and be able to work alongside and play a full part in the wider
animal care team.
