37.5 hours per week including weekends and public holidays
£16,000 per annum

WWT Washington Wetland Centre is a customer focussed visitor attraction in Tyne and Wear.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Collection Keeper who can support our Living Collection Manager in achieving the highest standards in animal husbandry including ensuring the success of our breeding plan for our collection of wildfowl and family of Asian short clawed otters.

Other duties will include promoting public engagement by delivering high quality talks to visitors about the exhibited species and maintaining exhibits to the highest standards through vegetation management, signage, water flow and pest management.

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE standard with previous animal husbandry experience, especially aviculture. You will possess excellent communication skills, have a great eye for detail and be keen to be part of a forward thinking and driven team here at the centre.
