Askham Bryan College
is a large, and growing, specialist land-based College, with centres throughout
Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Tees Valley.
We are currently
looking to recruit for a Retail and Education Assistant to join us to provide
excellent customer service and learning opportunities to all visitors to the
wildlife park.
Delivering
educational programmes to general visitors and groups, including schools, you
will also manage visitor admissions and bookings, gift shop sales and deal with
enquiries.
Ensuring that all
visitor areas are well maintained you will assist with the day-to-day
management of the Wildlife Park and act as duty manager as required.
Candidates will have
practical experience with animals, a customer service background and the
ability to work well as part of a team.
Enthusiastic and committed to providing excellent customer service, you
will be IT literate and have strong communication skills.
Specific experience
of customer service in visitor attractions (particularly zoological facilities)
and delivering wildlife related learning activities would be beneficial. A
recognised qualifications in Animal Management or similar is essential.
