Tropical Wings Zoo
is one of the best interactive zoo attractions in Essex. We pride ourselves on providing a unique
butterfly and animal experience with fun for all age groups.
We are currently
looking to recruit an experienced Education Officer to be responsible in
providing entertaining, informative and interactive animal encounters
throughout the zoo.
Main duties:
• To
develop and promote a formal education programme, which includes fun and
interactive experiences for all age groups
• To
plan and organise events and relevant
• To
be instrumental in marketing the Zoo both through social media and
communication with the general public and schools
• Assisting
other areas within the zoo as and when required
The ideal candidate
should have an experience working within a similar environment and/or have a
‘passion’ in working with animals and people, together with a flexible, ‘can
do’ attitude.
Excellent
presentation and communication skills are essential for this role, as you will
required to engage with the general public and children/young people.
Knowledge of social
media and marketing is also essential so that our educational programme can be
viewed by a bigger audience.
