Contract Type: Permanent, All Year Round 

Hours per Week: 37 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent, full time Animal Keeper to join this expanding, successful and highly motivated team. This is an exciting time to join the Animal, Equine and Veterinary Nursing Department at Eccles Sixth Form College, as we expand our already extensive animal collection and move towards full zoo accreditation.  The successful applicant will have knowledge and experience of practical husbandry, health and welfare of a range of animals. You will be responsible for the day to day care for all of the animals at Eccles Sixth Form College but with a responsibility for the either the bird or lower vertebrates and invertebrate collection, depending on the candidate's expertise. Candidates should have knowledge and experience of working with a variety of taxa within a zoological collection. You will be well motivated, responsive to change and innovative with good communication skills. The role requires flexibility and commitment as you will be required to work weekends. On site accommodation is available for the right candidate.
