Celebrating our 50th year in 2021, we are the leading paid for visitor attraction in the city region, we attract over 600,000 guests each year, and we recently won the 2020 large visitor attraction award in the Liverpool City region! We do amazing work to inspire and connect our communities with the natural world for the benefit of future generation through our enthusiastic and expert people. Our aim is to be an exemplar in the zoological industry and to other large visitor attractions, we want to be the best!

 

To achieve that goal, we want to have the very best people working with us and as such our Animal Team is growing! We are investing in our Keeping team and growing by three new posts. Having recently introduced an animal grading structure which focuses on the development the individuals who work with us, we are now looking for several experienced Keepers as below. If you share our passion for caring for animals, conservation, research, education, and providing our guests with the best day out ever, connecting them to the natural world, then please do get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.

This vacancy has been posted out to the many thousands who read the popular Zoo Jobs Blog Page and then on to the 129,400 plus followers of the  ZooNews Digest Facebook Page. It is then immediately forwarded on to Twitter and then to Pinterest and Linkedin (8,000+ connections). Many vacancies are shared to individuals and groups. In short your vacancy will have the potential of reaching something in the region of some 80,000 plus people within 24 hours. Most of these people are working in a zoo environment, Keepers, Curators, Vets, Zoo Directors, Trainers, Aquarists and more.

The number of people who will actually read the posted vacancy  will actually be considerably less. Usually this will be between two hundred and three thousand.
