Experienced Bird Keeper

Paradise Wildlife Park is looking to recruit an experienced Bird Keeper to work on our Bird section. Applicants must have experience with the husbandry and management of a wide variety of species due to our current and expanding section.

The bird section is responsible for 2 free flight bird shows daily and so experience in presenting and delivering talks is important, as is experience or at least a working knowledge of positive reinforcement training.

The ability to work as part of a team is essential as are excellent communication skills.

Applicants must be hard working, conscientious and uphold high standards of animal husbandry and welfare.

Applicants must be willing to assist with other areas of the park, including general maintenance and upkeep of public areas.

Flexibility in working hours is essential due to the nature of the job.

This is an exciting time to join the Bird section due to the completion of our recent Lorikeet Walkthrough and upcoming plans for further section development.

Closing date of Friday 31st August 2012
