This is a rare

community and commercial objectives are complimentary.
Kamo Wildlife
Sanctuary seeks a hard working and knowledgeable General Manager with wildlife
experience. The successful applicant must be able to live on the Sanctuary
site.

Specific Skills
& Knowledge
- Extensive knowledge in wildlife management procedures and protocols
- Understanding of the needs and habits of the different species of big cats in the collection
- Basic knowledge in veterinary medicine
- Ability to develop and organize fascinating exhibits
- Ability to conduct interesting and instructive tours
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced report writing skills
- Advanced business management skills
- Management of animal collection and staff members
Job Outputs
- Provide general management of all KWS activities
- Prepare, administer and review the KWS budget annually & quarterly
- Ensure that the KWS complies with MAF Biosecurity Standard 154.03.04
- Ensure a working relationship with zoological organisations such as ZAA
- Manage the day-to-day operations, and assure smooth functioning of KWS operations
- Implementation of policies and procedures as required by the Ministry of Primary Industry (MPI) and Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE)
