Animal Keeper (Team Leader) - Mammal Section

Bristol Zoo Gardens

There is a vacancy for a mammal section team leader on the mammal section at Bristol Zoo Gardens involving a variety of species. This is a job share supervisory position reporting to the Curator of Mammals. 

Flexibility is required as you will be working 40 hours per fortnight, including weekends and Bank Holidays. The successful applicant will be an experienced mammal keeper with significant experience of working with a variety of small mammals. Having practical knowledge of the husbandry of nocturnal animals will be an advantage. 

The successful applicant will be educated to at least GCSE level, including English and a biological science, and hold the DMZAA qualification (or equivalent). The proven ability to manage staff, work closely and in harmony with your job share colleague and having a general knowledge of the conservation and educational roles of zoos is essential.
