EXPERIENCED LARGE MAMMAL KEEPER

Blackpool Zoo is looking for an experienced Large Mammal Keeper to assist in the daily care and husbandry needs of a wide range of exotic and domestic mammals that it currently maintains on its Large Mammal Section, many of which are managed as part of captive breeding programmes including Giraffe, Blesbok, Hartmann’s Mountain Zebra, Lowland Tapir, Bongo, Giant Anteater and Aardvark. The successful candidate will also help in developing and moving forward the section within the framework of the animal departments aims and objectives.

You will need to be hard working, physically fit, enthusiastic, and reliable. You should possess the Diploma in The Management of Zoo and Aquarium Animals (DMZAA) or an equivalent and have a minimum of three years’ experience working with a wide range of large mammal species.

 

The closing date for both these applications is the 25th September 2020.

 

Salary of £18,694.00 per annum plus subsidised single occupancy (on site) accommodation if required.
