Experienced/Senior Keeper – Mammals
Permanent position
Salary is £18,207 per annum

Bristol Zoological Society has a vacancy for an Experienced/Senior Keeper working on the mammal section at the Bristol Zoo Gardens site in Clifton, Bristol.  This position is permanent working 80 hours per fortnight as part of the departmental 14 day rota, which will include weekends and bank holidays.

The successful applicant will be an experienced zoo mammal keeper and will have at least three years experience of working with zoo animals. Having some practical knowledge of the husbandry of large mammals preferably with great ape experience will be an advantage.

The successful applicant will be educated to at least GCSE level, including English and a biological science, and hold the Diploma in the Management of Zoo and Aquarium Animals - DMZAA. The ability to work within a team and having a general knowledge of the conservation and educational roles of zoos is also required.
