Part-time- 20 hours per week
We are looking for a
confident and enthusiastic Presenter, to deliver high-quality, positive and engaging
communications on conservation and biodiversity issues for all ages - to enable
audiences to understand why
biodiversity matters, improve their understanding of the role of environmental parks in
conservation and to motivate and empower them to take action to conserve
biodiversity.
The successful
candidate will deliver presentations to all visitors, adjusting to specific
audience needs; initiate and
run short activities with visitors and educational groups; assist delivery of
out of school hours
activities e.g. clubs and summer schools; and evaluate and modify presentations
and activities.
Applicants should be
able to show an outgoing personality with the confidence to perform to an audience (drama or
acting skills advantageous). Candidates would ideally have experience in a
conservation- or
education-based environment. You will also have demonstrable enthusiasm for communicating
conservation and biodiversity issues and experience of engaging face-to-face
with
children and adults
of all ages and levels of interest.
This is a part-time
post, for 20 hrs per week, on a rota basis, including some weekends and Bank Holidays. Rate of
pay is £7.42p/hr.
