zoOceanarium Group specializes in developing and operating world class aquariums, zoos and nature-based science centers. We provide services from concept design to managing daily operations and everything in between. With over 100 full time employees from all over the globe, zoOceanarium Group consists of animal care specialists, animal trainers, veterinarians, design specialists, project managers and operational staff.

zoOceanarium Group is continuing to expand their team and looking to recruit a talented Animal Care Specialist for an exciting new facility in the United Arab Emirates. As an Animal Care Specialist, you will be responsible for the wellbeing of a diverse collection of plants & animals within a large tropical rainforest bio-dome. A varied and unique role, you will be working with a variety of species, as well as a multicultural team. To be successful in the role, you will work as part of the animal care team to complete daily husbandry as well as other animal care related tasks. Experience working with birds, small mammals and invertebrates is essential. Aquarium experience and scuba certification will be an added advantage.

Duties:
• Animal husbandry
• Prepare and maintain animal exhibits
• Complete and maintain daily husbandry reports
• Conducting public animal presentations that inspire guests
• Other duties as required

Position Requirements:
• Extensive experience working with birds, small mammals & invertebrates essential
• Aquarium experience and scuba certification will be a plus
• Experience developing and training in an aquarium or zoo environment using positive reinforcement methods
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Willing to work shifts (early mornings and late nights)
