Woburn Safari Park
is home to some of the world’s most magnificent and endangered animals. The
park consists of a Foot Safari, Road Safari, Retail, Catering, VIP Experiences
and Woburn Go Ape and is enjoyed by over 500,000 visitors per year looking for
a fun day out. It is also home to The
Safari Lodge, a unique events venue.
We have a unique
opportunity for an experienced animal researcher join our team, on a part time,
fixed term basis covering a period of maternity leave.
As an Animal
Researcher at Woburn Safari Park, you will work closely with the animal
sections to conduct research and undertake projects as required. You will be responsible for collating,
analysing, summarising and recording data to produce accurate and meaningful
reports.
You will be an
effective communicator, possess strong analytical and report writing skills and
have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office packages, including Word
and Excel. You will have good time
management skills and be comfortable multi-tasking.
Previous experience
of conducting animal focussed research is essential for this position. An
understanding of DEFRA / ZEC endorsed monitoring tools would be beneficial.
28 hours per week
over 4 days, fixed term up to 12 months.
A full clean driving licence is required.
