Mixed Mammal & Bird Keeper Required - Colchester Zoo

Colchester Zoo is currently recruiting for a suitably experienced and
qualified animal keeper to work on a mixed mammal and bird section in
the park. The successful applicant will be responsible as part of a
team for the day to day husbandry and welfare of a number of species
including Amur tiger, Timber wolves, Andean condor, King vulture,
Griffon vulture, Philippine's spotted deer, Pygmy hippo and Patas
monkeys. This position will report to the Head of Section and the Zoo
Curator.

The successful applicant will have experience with working with zoo
animals. Applicants should be educated to at least GCSE level
(including English and a biological science) and have obtained at least
an ND or HND in Animal care or above. Preference will be given to
applicants holding the City and Guilds Certificate in Zoo Animal
Management or the Advanced National Certificate in Zoo Animal
Management.
